I'm not a Jefferson nickel fan, so I'm in the hunt for the wars and buffalos. I find one keeper every 3 boxes or so. Not good, not worth the time, and nickels are so bulky to dump!

I still like doing nickels because you find the widest variety of foreigns in them. So if you're skunked on silver of buffs you still probably have something interesting. In dimes it's always a Canadian or a UK 5p, with the rare Swiss 1/2 Franc, and I've found more Walkers than foreigns in half rolls.

That said I totally agree with Atreides. I burn out on nickels pretty quickly.

Canadian coins aren't all that rare for me - I'm about 90 miles from the border. My latest box had about a dozen misc modern Canadians. Something Swiss would would be interesting to find though!

If anyone's interested in clad Canadian, I've got almost 2 pill bottles full - mostly dimes, some quarters and nicks. Not quite sure what I'd like as payment or a trade, so send me a PM with your ideas! :)

Try ebay, it'll kill you on the fees but it was pretty much free money right? Pulled from the magnet at the Penny Arcade?

The dimes are prolly 3 months worth from boxes. The nickels and quarters are Penny and CU rejects.

DOn't be hating on profiteers, sometimes the not working is a choice, not a consequence. 2 Months ago, on the advice of my neighbor, I finally decided to get my own ebay account. In those two months, I have made (after fees and my costs) just over $4,300. And most of what i sold is what I found through roll hunting or buying from antiques dealers who don't change price tags.

Keeps me from having to worry about income, and allows me to be stress free since I'm a full time student with a wife and two kids to feed.

Alright I did my first coin roll hunting of nickels. I don't know why cause everyone seems to hate them. So I'm about half way through these and I'm like god now I know why. I was finding all kinds of 41's 40's...46's, 47's...I was like COME ON! So now I'm down to 5 rolls and low and behold!....MY very first silver coin found from roll hunting!
