Five of the new coins I picked up at FUN. The other 7 are all Capped Bust Half Dimes which I'll post after they are catalogued and imaged.

First up is a little Anglo-Saxon silver sceatta, probably minted in Frisia, from about 695 to 710 a.d. This has a debased obverse image, supposedly the head of a leader but called the "Porcupine" for obvious reasons. As usual with these coins, I never know if I've got the orientation correct.

Next is a 1870 Shallow N Indian Head Cent. There are three "types" of reverses of 1870: The Type 1 Shallow N reverse which was a carryover from prior years; the Type 2 which is typified by a mint attempt to strengthen the Ns but which left a kind of hybrid of the Shallow and Bold Ns; and Type 3 which is the Bold N reverse. This shallow N was the last 1870 reverse type I needed for the IHC collection. There is a neat die crack on obverse - see enlarged photo.

Finally are two IHCs needed as upgrades for the US Type Set, a nice 1862 and 1902:

OK. Here's another one although my photos don't do it justice. The mirrors are plentiful. I haven't had a chance to crop/edit the photos.

    Lovely coins, all. Congratulations.
Seems you do have a wide range interest in numismatics: A Frisian Sceatta, and Indian head cents...:) (very much like my areas of interest by the way).
