Got this penny in change and thought wow looks heavily circulated??? what are your thoughts PMD or just honest wear????
You are. This is typical of dryer coins. The dryer literally peals the Copper plate off of the Zinc core, include the plating along the coin's edge. -Brian

It may not be a dryer coin. But it is an abraded one and not from circulation. Think about all the abuses worthless pennies go through. Pick one. Lance.

I was not arguing with you at all i know and somewhat knew when i posted it, that it was PMD just wanted to be sure. All i was saying is that the rim is not rolled up like the first set of pics made it look, i never intended on having it slabbed or anything just wanted to discuss it is all...
