My rainbow toned Nickel Type collection. All coins are PCGS graded and all photos are TrueView photos shrunk down to fit on my digital coinboard. The Shield, Liberty, and Jefferson Nickels are all Proofs (graded PR65, PR66, and PR67, respectively). The Buffalo is a Mint State coin (graded MS64).

The toning on this monster is just fall-over-in-your-chair beautiful and I just got this image back tonight from robec (who totally rocks with coin photography). The surface is a bit rough in places, especially on parts of the obverse with some cheek hits, so I am not sure how (or if) PCGS will grade this. I will find that out in a few weeks. But in terms of color and luster, this is about as good as it gets on Mint State Lincolns. (Now you will have to excuse me while I go and unplug this coin from my wall socket).

Robec takes some of the nicest looking images in the biz, I usually find myself doing a double take every time I see one of his eye popping toner pics.

Won this 1951 Lincoln Proof which I was able to pick up for $30.00. The pictures the seller had showed so sign of color (only brown), so I was taking another gamble on this one. Came in the mail...:

I cant get clear pictures of proofs for the life of me, but the coin actually has some really interesting purple/magenta, blue, green, and yellow spotted toning throughout the obv/rev. I'm surprised NGC even graded it (NGC PF64 RB).

A NEWP sort of speak (purchased for a potential sale to a client). Although if they decide they don't want it I'd be more than happy to add it to my collection. I think NGC was tough giving it a 50.

    NEWPS for my personal collection:

Type Set addition, on its way to PCGS to crossover so I can add it to my everyman registry set.
    Nice chocolate brown.

(I'm not interested in having a debate on the "morality" of these)

Spotty, but for $10 over spot I was happy.

I agree Winged Liberty! That Nickel is astounding! I don't believe I have ever seen another toned Liberty Nickel before. Yours is the first. Congratulations on the new addition to your collection. You must be very proud.

I agree Pumpkin Pie, that the 1968 could grade as a CAM or DCAM. You usually don't see such dramatic and contrasting frost on coins of this date. Good eye and good purchase!
