I am wondering if how often the U.S. Mint keeps changing the shipping dates for items that they sell? I recently made a purchase of the 2005 Silver Proof Set and when I made the purchase it had a shipping schedule of 8/15. I checked later it became 9/1 then 9/2 and now it's 9/6. I just wonder if it will keep getting pushed back further? Just a newbie's obversation. All other products I've purchased this year have had no date changes and arrived promptly. Makes me wonder about the 12/15 shipping date for the San Francisco Mint sets.
don't make me think about it...just about every thing I order from the mint is a crap chute for arrival dates.
On some items (backordered?) the Mint automatically changes the shipping date in one-day increments. Eventually when you check the tracking page, it will say 'item has been shipped on...'.
