Definitely worth reading, and it's worth following the story's link to another column on the highest certified 1901-S quarter, which goes into some detail on the issue of dipping high-end coins.

 

Just like the 93-S MS67 Dollar that was recently dipped and sold at auction for a big loss.

And speaking of the 01-S Quarter, I forget where I read it, but I believe it might have been in the BCCS Journal. There is belief that the King of Hawaii was given rolls of 1901-S Quarters. Wouldn't that be something!
