Possible lowball modern Lincoln????

    Got this penny in change and thought wow looks heavily circulated??? what are your thoughts PMD or just honest wear????

    looks like it was drug across a harsh surface. dryer coin, harsh surface... either way, pmd.

    The coin has a normal rim so i dont think its a dryer coin but i could be wrong....

    You are. This is typical of dryer coins.

    The dryer literally peals the Copper plate off of the Zinc core, include the plating along the coin's edge.

    That makes sense to me. It was probably heavily circulated or ended up in a dryer like MSGrade70 said!

    It may not be a dryer coin. But it is an abraded one and not from circulation. Think about all the abuses worthless pennies go through. Pick one.

    True. Let's just say that the characteristics are similar to that of known dryer coins...

    And, the point is, the OP has his answer - it's nothing more than PMD. :)

    I was not arguing with you at all i know and somewhat knew when i posted it, that it was PMD just wanted to be sure. All i was saying is that the rim is not rolled up like the first set of pics made it look, i never intended on having it slabbed or anything just wanted to discuss it is all...
