Hey guys, I've been looking into aquiring a couple proof sets, but I have a question. A full set of the state quarters goes for about $100 on eBay. The atb sets I could get the first 3 for $50. Why the drastic increase in pricing? Also, I have the regular state quarters p/d in rolls. Is it possible/economical to buy the atb in proof form individually and have them in rolls/lose like the state quarters. Which would actually be kind of cool. Any thoughts on acquiring atb in proof form?
First question is Are you sure you aren't comparing clad proofs and silver proofs? Second comment is that the prices of the state quarters are falling because interest is now focused on the ATB coins. ATB is new current and hot and therefore higher priced. State quarters are old hat and no longer of great interest and so low priced.
Has the price of proof sets with Statehood Quarters dropped that much??? I've been removed from the market for a while
Yes I'm certain I'm looking at clad and not silver. And yes a full proof set 99-08 will go for about $90 on eBay where as the first thee of the atb 10-12 go for $50 for the bundle.
