Another toner for the toned Morgan collection.

    Pretty nice gold obverse and blue reverse. Common date, and uncommon tone.

    My experience with that toning pattern and color scheme is that they look much better in hand than they do in photos. Granted, I haven't seen hundreds of thousands of them, maybe just a dozen over the years. Pretty sure the color is typically described as sea foam green though it is markedly darker than how that color is used in other arenas.

    I'd agree. I have three others like that and they are much bluer, with lots of rainbow (in hand). I have lots of pastel toned Morgans, and this one will fit well with the others.

    That is a pretty coin, and I bet it looks even nicer in hand in natural light.

    It was nice, I sold it some time ago. It has some nice textile on the left obverse field and on the cheek but is tough to capture in a photo.
