Question on Album Storage of Presidential & State Quarter Coin Covers

    Hi All -

Probably a good question for the stamp collectors out there...

So, even though I think the presidential dollars are sort of a gimmicky idea that should have never happened, the bug in me compels me to collect them. However, I've been collecting them by acquiring the first day coin covers issued by the U.S. Mint, although I but them on eBay rather than the Mint directly, which has saved me roughly two-thirds from U.S. Mint issue price. I'm also fond of them because I think they're education, and may make a good educational tool for my kids someday. I've also collected the entire State Quarters/Territories First Day Covers Series, for similar reasons.

Within the last week, I won an eBay lot including the first 16 covers (duplicating much of what I had already, but I'll just sell the extras), but these 16 came in an album I liked, but after searching on Google cannot find anything like it. I'd really like to pick on up like it for the State Quarters covers. I've included pictures of the album. The album is titled "Philatelic Covers" is is a blue two-ring binder, but is otherwise void of any brand name or part number. The album pages have the product name "LUCIDVIEW" and what appears to be an item number "6963K" Like I said, searching on each of these gets me nothing on Google.

    My two questions:
    1) Does anyone know how to find an album similar to the one I've described above?
    2) Failing that, can anyone point me to a good album-based solution to storing my coin covers?

    Regards,
    Brian

Those are pretty neat. I almost want to open my white envelopes to put them into the albums. Since I have three sets of each, I may just do that with one of them.

Thanks for the tip and the link, GDJMSP. Two more follow up questions if you know the answer:
    1. Is the #6 the right size for coin covers?
    2. The text at the link says the pages include black inserts as backgrounds. Do you know if these are removable? Coin covers have info on each side, so the solution I seek should allow me to see a coin cover from each side.

    Thanks again!

Just did a search for you. That was made by Fleetwood that has been purchased by Mystic Stamp Co. of Camden NY. They still offer the albums. They are good albums if they are still made the same as they were by Fleetwood. I used to buy Fleetwood FDCs many years ago and loved them. I would recommend them if still made with the same quality.

I have no idea bk. I was merely offering what help I could. But I'm sure the company at the link I provided could answer all of your questions. Just give them a call.

No problem, just wondering if you might have known. I'll call them myself to figure it out. Many thanks for the information provided by you and the others.
