New Pick-ups!

I just picked up a 1879 Morgan, 1879 Morgan , 1888-O Morgan and 1921 PEACE I have a rough idea about the grades and value but would like to have some other opinions as well!

'21 looks cleaned
88-O MS 63
79 Both looked cleaned


I like the coins regardless, especially the '88

 

My dad bought these coins for me and i told him that the '79's along with the 1921 peace dollar were cleaned. But i loved the '88 O. And you cant beat buying a '21 peace dollar for $66... Right?

 

The 1888-O appears MS while the 1921 looks cleaned and the two 1879 are either scruffy AU coins or someone has done something to them.

 

Nice new additions, I'm sorry to say I don't have a 21 Peace myself. You can never go wrong with old U.S. silver

 

Im considering getting the 1921 peace dollar graded by NGC, even if it recieves a DETAILS grade. I just like having graded coins better then raw ones. And i would send the 1888 O in if it could recieve a MS64, but i dont think that it would receive that.

 

I'd save the money myself and buy more coins instead of buying plastic. I have no doubts that your Peace is real and as long as you keep it protected there would be no other benefit from having it encapsulated, especially since it almost definitely would get a details grade. As for the Morgan, the scuffs on her cheek would likely limit its grade to MS-63 which is a grade where it really isn't worth the $$ to submit. JMHO

Nice coins. If you want to protect them then put them in Koitains or another brand of hard plastic coin holders. You don't really need an NGC or PCGS holder to enjoy your collection. Plus, you'll have more money for more coins.
