On 40%ers? That's a rip... sell them online, then, you should be able to get at least 90% of spot. So give her 75%, you still clear 15%...

If you're even buying them to flip, that is, if you're buying them to hold, give her 80% and be done with it. Paying half of spot, when you know what spot is, that's not right, imho.

If you say "spot value is $X, but I'm willing to pay you $X/2 in cash right now" and she accepts it, it's completely fair. Everyone has all the information.

    Weekly results:

    Quarters ($430 searched): Wash x3
    Dimes ($1510 searched): Roosie x13, Merc x1
    Nickels ($368 searched): War x4, Buffalo x1, 1969S Proof, and a 1938D!!!
    Pennies ($27 searched): Wheat x21, and a 1968S Proof (I think it's a proof)
    Halves ($1025.50 searched): Skunk
And 2 Ikes, no rare varieties

This week has been pretty slow, mostly because being busy at work has kept me from searching as much as I'd like. I've had a really great July/August, partially due to a new chain that's been paying out with silver halves, but since it's a small bank I've been trying to only order 2-3 times per month to avoid wearing out my welcome. Decent luck with dimes this week though. Total silver found this week was 1.7798 ozt oddly enough, which doesn't really bother me because 1.8oz was about how much I'd get every week for the first 6 months of this year.

My best find of the week was definitely the 1938D Nickel, finally! That leaves just 4 holes in my Jefferson album: 39D and 50D, as well as the 43D and 44S war nickels. I'm hopeful I can find everything except the 50D in circulation this year! Hilariously enough, while I was at the ANA show a few weeks back I purchased the 1968S through 1975S Proofs for my Jefferson album since it had holes for them, but this week I found another 69S proof as well.

    Lots of foreign this week:
38c Canadian (including a really nice BU 1958 canadian cent (Young Elizabeth) in addition to a 1967 Rock Dove commemorative cent and another young elizabeth)
10c Panama, 21p UK, 50ore Denmark, 1Fr France, 5c Ecuador, 12.50 Mexico, 4c Trinidad, 20r Switzerland, 25c Aruba, 10c HK (from the 50s I think), $1 East Carib. States, and 1c Netherlands. And lots of tokens as always.

So you're gonna walk up to her, and say "Hey, those half dollars you found are worth $300 total, but I'll give you $150 cash on the spot for them!"?

I posted over in the error forum about a 1983 P half that I found that has machine doubling and something else wrong with it.

I had a blast going through a box of pennies I bought on Friday. I felt like a kid in a candy shop as I found so many things all in one box, it was like I was being set up to see my reaction. In the box were a very large obverse cud error 1993, 432 wheats (which I still haven't wrapped my head around, it's excessively high for bank wrapped in one box), a 1970 high s, and a 1960 large over small date. To make it even better, I also had $100 in customer wrapped dimes, which resulted in 7 silvers and 4 proofs. I swear, it makes me regret not searching it Friday, because I would have went back and doubled down. I will definitely be there at 9am sharp tomorrow :D

I have the bad feeling that after such a massive score, I won't find anythig good for a year.

Did a box of nickels this fine evening. It produced a war and a nice '83-P with a decent-sized cud under the bust of ol' Jeffy.
