1974 Germany PFENNIG 2?

    I've never seen this coin before it was given to me as a penny when i got change from the store.

    :)Its a pre-unification West German 2 pfenig coin. Quite common, but nice.

    Actually a "post-unification" 2 Pfennig would look precisely that way. The fact that the Eastern states joined the Federal Republic of Germany in 1990 did not affect the Fed. Rep. coin designs. :) If the letter above the "2" is a D (not totally sure), then it was minted in Munich.
