I would like to look through my new rolls for errors on specific dates.. I already picked out the good lookins..and the dates i need but what are the dates that have the common errors. Like the wide AM dates and double ear?.. Peter
This is really a question that is very difficult to answer. There are varieities that have value on almost all dates of lincoln cents. For example, most people don't know these but there are doubled die obverses on cents dated 1959, 1960, 1960 D, 1961, 1961 D, 1962, 1962 D, 1963 etc. etc. These are not mechanically doubled. They are true doubled die varieties. Another example is the 1989 cents. It is only one of many that have several neat doubled die varieties. I think there are more than 30 different at the last count. This says nothing about the hundreds of Repunched Mintmark varieties. I would carefully check everything Bill
Well thank you very much for the "manual" list..really i appreacite your time and effort..but i was looking for a website kinda..ya know of any..or anyone else? Peter
Yeah, Coin Talk. Just click on this link and you can find just about anything you want to know - Numismatic Resources For what you want specifically, look under the Variety & Errors section and click on the CONECA link. Once there click on where it says Variety Master Listings ( over on the left side of the page ). Now then, I posted the primary link so you could also find out all the other stuff you want to know
GDJSMP, Thank you, and to think that it was right under my nose the whole time :headbang: Haha, Peter
