Well, I've been selling quite a bit lately & would like to find all the different ways to get discounted fees. I have powerseller(bronze), but don't think that reduces fees. I was a top rated seller during the compliance extension, but now have to wait another month to get it back, since I hadn't been entering my tracking before July. What other discounts are available, specific checkout system, fast-free shipping, etc? what would those do as far as reductions?
    Thanks so much all!

Get your buyers to make large purchases outside of ebay. I don't do it for, but many others do.

I'd rather stick to protected sales until I have a few more highly trusted customers. Another question, how do I get an auction listing with a BIN price that stays there after bids have been placed? I didn't think this was possible, but saw one yesterday.
    Thanks

    Online Auction
    Starting Price = $x.xx
    BIN Price = $x.xx

Well, yeah. But doing so, the BIN disappears as soon as the first bid is placed. Saw one yesterday with a BIN of like $42.99, & 7 bids @ 27.??

You're seeing auctions with reserves that haven't been met.

Start at 0.99, BIN at $100, reserve at $80. As long as the top bid doesn't break $80, the BIN will remain available. But reserve auctions add expense, and annoy buyers.

As far as fee discounts, you're between a rock and a hard place. Top Rated sellers (as you know) get up to 20% off, and right now you can opt-in to eBay's automated return policy for an additional 5% off, but that's only a temporary discount. As far as I know, those are the only discounts available. Now if you print your shipping labels from eBay, you don't have to worry about typing in tracking numbers and the postage rate is also lower, so it comes highly recommended!

Bronze power seller should get you 5% discount. It did for me until I got my Top Rated. Also, you might want to check into a basic store if you do a lot of items with buy-it-now, or higher dollar items. The fees are reduced, but you lose your 50 free auctions. It doesn't take a whole lot of sales to make up the difference.
