I guess it could be. With it being that small of an area and with the apparent condition of the coin, don't know that it's even worth a 2x2 though.
The condition of the coin is not good at ALL. But I could't think that PMD could cause something like this. Looks as though there is a fold in the copper. It's almost like a half ripped off band aid.:thumb:
