What is (was) this?

    Found it at a Coinstar Return Slot today. If you look under 10x mag, it looks as if it had some type of leaf/vines going in a circle on one side. The edges are flat. I photographed it next to a 1951 cent to better judge the size. Any help would be appreciated!

    PS, it also looks like it is made of bronze.

    It's a piece of metal that got rejected because it was not a coin.

    If it is a flattened pre 82 penny, it is worth 2.36 cents.

    Far too little of it left to make a determination of what it was. It could have been a decorative button as someone said. Unless it was silver, I'd just junk it.

    Are we seeing images of both sides or just one? Either way the images are out of focus. The little round spot in the center makes me think button as well.
