I took 5 year old daughter to the ANA convention Worlds Fair of Money on Saturday. We had a great time! She came away with a lot of free stuff from wheaties to shinning big tokens. If you have any interest in coins/money, the ANA convention is something you must do at least once in your lifetime. For me, it was the super bowl of coins! I think I could spent the whole 4 days there and not done and seen everything. People where helpful, friendly and (best of all) willing to deal. Hats off to ANA!
I have had the same wonderful experiences with my daughter at other smaller coin shows including the CNA convention. The overwhelming majority of the people in the hobby are absolutely terrific with kids, including mine.
I took my 9 year old and 4 year old and they had a blast, they both even won intaglios during the BEP drawings. That's my daughter there looking at the purloined 33 double eagles
