    Hello all,

I just got back into coin collecting again and I don't know how much has changed in the many years I've been out, but a friend of mine introduced me to a company called Numis.

Has anyone ever heard of this company? They are a coin MLM I guess. This is the link he sent me EDITED . Like I said, It seems as though times have changed from the store front and friend to friend trading I'm use to. Should I buy from them? Are they Safe to purchase from?

I bought a few coins from him and very happy, but still would like any feedback and suggestions if anyone has ever had any dealings with them.

    Thanks,
    V

I would recommend avoiding that outfit. They are in the same level as the TV hucksters...

But you really didn't hear about them from a friend. Did you?. Considering the link you tried to post has your last name as part of it...

    Honesty is a virtue "V".

Goes to show you the tactics these folks use.

Stay as far away from them as possible. Schemes like this exist only to extract as much money as they can from honest people.

Hi Lost.. its probably got my last name due to the fact I signed up with them to buy the coins and that's the site they sent me to do so. I'm just sharing the link that I was given.

haha, I'm an underground secret coin spy using secret tactics

    Have a great weekend :)

Not at all... The reason that the site for them is edited is that they (people in their MLM) were spamming the boards and using underhanded methods to promote themselves here.

Just a little suspicious of a poster who post links to them on their first post...

So, before I welcome you to our neighborhood, I'll follow up on Matt's comment to which you didn't come right out and deny.

Do you have any affiliation with that $limeb@gg company, Numis? We've had their spammers try all kinds of ways to get their cr@ppol@ mentioned here, and we really don't like it.

The ones I think of are the Coin and Knife guys on one of the home shopping networks. All the coins they have are "real" its just they inflate the prices way out to the stratosphere. Unless you like paying double to triple what they are worth.

Technically speaking, "MLM" does not mean the same thing as "Pyramid Scheme".

While shunned by the majority of Americans (myself included), MLM can be a legitimate way of marketing products. Pyramid schemes by definition offer nothing of value and are illegal in many countries including the US.

If there is an actual product, as opposed to sponsorship of members--there must be legitimate sales. Amway got into trouble with this in various countries. Some of the allegedly MLM companies are basically pyramid schemes, as nobody except for the people who do the motivational aspects makes any money.

Yes, I remember when that happened with Amway. A MLM program can indeed be a "Pyramid Scheme", but my point was that it isn't always the case.

If I was trying to spam and undermine a website I sure wouldn't be so nonchalant about it haha... Its just an honest question about a company that approached me that I bought some coins from. Haven't been collecting for awile so I have nothing else to talk about other than my most recent dealings

Ya and by-the-way.. Any business your in is a pyramid system. Take for instance a Church,

I'm still not endorsing NUMIS Dutchman, but Blaubart, Every business falls under a pyramid structure.

I don't know about the "pyramid scheme" part, but I personally think you would be better off buying coins elsewhere. Most of the long time members here are well versed in the purchasing of coins, so when you asked about that particular company, they responded with their honest opinions.
