Troublesome troll at the PCGS site--why don't they take action?

I have noticed that the PCGS forum website has been plagued by one "David Merrell" recently; the mystery is why aren't the moderators doing their job on a really good site? How should sites deal with posters who just keep posting in a quarrelsome way over and over again?

Ip ban usually handles most bugs.

Sure he is annoying. If everybody would ignore his posts he would slither off to somewhere else.

I post on the PCGS boards regularly and have noticed one thread started by this user. However, after reading some of the thread I just closed it and have not noticed them again. If someone is real trouble then an IP ban might work well.

Bringing up a troll's name in another forum isn't always the best idea...

  8. Ignore and move on.

And why come to this forum to complain about a member at another forum?

I thought I would mention it because that type of abuse is not tolerated here, why are they tolerating it over there?

  10. That's a good question for them.

Members over there have been bringing it up for the last week. Conventional thinking was he would be gone in a heartbeat. They just let it continue...

Kudos to CT for running the tightest ship in the coin discussion business.

I don't know the guy but he seems to be a really smart man. I would guess him to be a lawyer. I looked at a lot of his post and didn't see where he broke any rules. Maybe I just missed it. As a normal they boot you if you are reported by a few members. A PM to Don will speed the process. I don't report people. I figure they will hang themselves given time. I love the back button.
