Hi. I Was Wondering If These Canadian Coins Were Worth Anything. In Pennies I Have 1964,1984,1977,1961,1972,1983,1975,1981,1959. In Nickels I Have 1973. In Dimes I Have 1945,1983,1979. In Quarters I Have 1975,1979,1982,1976,1968. Thanks.
www.xe.com says that among other values they were worth US$1.494 £.801 ¥171.436 40.056 Russian Roubles at market close today.
These coins are worth nothing much yet (but the silver one as Jim said), but if they're in good condition enough you can keep them and see how their value will be in some decades... Max
In order to have more than face value your coins would have to grade MS-60 or better with two exceptions. The 1945 dime has a value of from $1.00 to $10.00 F-12 to AU-50 and it's possible that your1968 quarter is silver in which case it would have a small bullion value. Bill
If you can find a 1964 quarter you'll get a nice price for it. The coins you mentioned (other than the pre-60s ones) turn up in my change pretty regularly. I'm not an expert or anything but I'd say that's a good sign that they aren't worth much more than face value. Sarah
While we're talking about Canadian coins... How bout old Canadian proof sets? ie 1964. Also have a 1932 five cents, and an 1899 quarter. And BU rolls of silver '64 dimes. Do any of the canadian members know what these are worth?
According to CCN trends the 1964 proof set is worth $17.00. 1932 5¢ from 50¢ to $50 depending on condition VG - AU 1899 25¢ $9.00 - $475.00 in the same range VG - AU If you could show us pictures we could give a more precise estimate. Bill
Hey. Thanks for responding. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I haven't yet figured out how to get decent coin pics. But, I beleive my 1899 quarter is around vf. My 1932 5 cents, is at least AU-55, IMO.
