$20 dollars CWR nickels in the last two days - 51-S and 53-S. The 51-S has been relatively hard to find for me, even though I've found several 55s and 58s already (about the same mintage). So getting the 51-S was nice.

A respectable box of dimes today, three roosies:

The '54 was especially bright next to the clad.

I've gone through 950 rolls of nickels and have found 59 1958Ds but only within the last week have I found my first 1958P. They seem to be extremely hard to find out here in the West. I have found two 1951S nickels, though.

2 boxes of dimes = 2 Roosies in each. I'll take it. It looks like my last box of halves was back on 8/20 so I guess it's time to start trying them again.

Not hard to believe. I get a fairly good mix here in SW Ohio. Though, I don't bother keeping 58-Ds or the other late 50s Denver ones either - relatively high mintage doesn't make it worth it to me.

I keep '58-'60's in AU or better, or the so-called "bar" '60's, as well as any 1957 and earlier.

I don't keep them either unless the mintage is less than 20 million or they're in AU+ condition. I do log every pre-1960 nickel into my stats to keep track of what I've found, though.

On another note, I went to the bank the other day and bought 80 CWRs of pennies. When I bought them, I could see that quite a few of them were marked "76", "79" "80", "82", etc. It turns out that 60 of the rolls were solid-date representing every year from 1976 to 2007.

There were a few Mint BU rolls:
    1994D Mint BU Roll
    1996D Mint BU Original Roll
    1997D with 48 Mint BU coins and 2 1997Ps
Two 2000D Mint BU Original Rolls

I don't think whomever assembled these rolls was an experienced collector as most of the rolls were circulated and had P coins mixed in here and there. I don't care about hoarding circulated copper so the pre-82 rolls will be spent. The above 1994-2000 rolls have been placed into hard plastic tubes. I culled the very best from the other rolls and was able to save 6 rolls worth of Mint BU coins of various years up to 2007.

Sorry to say thats a large date for sure. The leg of the seven would be higher up on the small date

Just look at the inside tail of the 9. Flat = large date, rounded = small date. Or vice versa, I don't remember, but that's a large date.
