What an awful day. September is not off to a good start.

 

Box of dimes - 2 Roosies & a 1960 Canadian.

Box of halves - 4x 40%, 1 frankie, and to celebrate the start of the football season, 1 punt.

 

2 boxes of dimes, 5 roosies.

$450 CWR halves and $25 loose in trays... 3 40%ers, all from the trays... ugh.

Not bad, but not killing it. I did get this very cool Mount Rushmoore Commen witha Buffalo on it. I'll take a pick and post it later. It was from Box # 3.

I'm not going to like (as I wish you had found more silver), but the Mt. Rushmore is cool. Plus you did well on the volume. I do at max 2-3 boxes a week, not 8 in a single weekend.

 

You'd think it would be easier to find an investor when you basically offer someone a private CD with a 20% annualized return... Ugh.

Since I know my credit isn't good enough to get a large, unsecured loan and I'm not willing to use my car/coins to roll search, I'm looking for someone to invest between $3k-$5k into roll searching with me... Figure I offer them 20% ($600-$1000) return, I can probably make around $2.5k a year roll searching large volume and dumping in bags. Problem is, nobody is willing to do it, even though I said I'll sign a contract obligating me to pay in full regardless of the performance of said venture.

 

I also wish I had found more silver, especially with the volume. My skunk rate was over 50% last month and my finds were about 2 per box. The skunk rate was below 50% which was good but the silver was only 1.5 per box. I hope by months end it will all even out and I'll get a stack of silver for the SDB.

Since Thursday I have searched about $150 in CWR halves. I have pulled one Ben and four 40%ers.

 

Keep grinding, sooner or later you're bound to hit a great box.

 

At least YOUR finding silver, dolnt have the money for a box of halves, or even dimes!

 

Its surprising that nobody is willing. I would but I don't have that kind of cash to invest right now (probably just about everyone's problem). I'm sure if you keep asking, there will be someone willing to invest, someone will realize what a good investment it is, with the stuff you find in circulation. I hope you find someone.

 

What an aweful week...

8 boxes of halves, all skunk. Not even proofs...This is very discouraging. Now i have to dump all of this.

 

In one box of halves I found 1 1968 weighing 12.1g
and some weird error-maybe cloth.

 

I float my money..get a box on payday, sort and return..I don't have as much time with the coins as I would like but, I'm bound to find something, if not silver an error or just some really pretty coins.

 

One of my banks forgot to order this week. Ugh, at least I will be getting two from my other (better-producing) bank, hopefully... and I don't have to dump an extra $1k in halves, haha...

Forgot to mention, yesterday I also found about 2 rolls of modern proofs, loose, right across the street for a coin shop. Gee, wonder where those came from, ha.
