So I don't have any extremely valuable coins, but I really do like this coin. I keep this one in my wallet with me all the time.
Well, for nostalgia. I still have an old whitman folder of Roosevelt dimes. I started to fill this folder as a child around 1960 to 1964 and stopped collecting for 45 years. As you can see after 52 years its still not filled out. :welcome:
I got this coin from a family friend(who passed away 2 years ago, RIP) around 9 years ago when I was in like 2nd grade. My family and I were at their house and the guy showed me a jar of coins, and before we left he said I could have the whole jar full of coins. But, my parents thanked him but declined the offer cause they thought it was too much. So I ended up getting a handful, and it was night so i didnt get chance to really get a look at them on the walk to the car and i think i fell asleep in the car too haha. but the next morning while I was checking out what I got I saw this coin, and in my mind I was like "HOLY CRAP! this coin is from 1835!" I though it was the coolest thing, i even remember bringing it to school a few times. This coin is what sparked my interest in coins and collecting. It's probably only worth up to $4, but I don't think I'd ever wanna part with it.
My most valued coin is a 1941 MS63 Walking Liberty Half Dollar valued at around $50. Thanks to Log Potato, I won this amazing coin in his contest. This is the second coin I've won on CoinTalk. Thank you Tyler G. for this contest and good luck everyone!
Well I sold my VF-35 Draped Bust Half, so I would have to say that my most valued coin is my 1942/1 Merc Dime. I found it in a group of rolls which was given to me by my great uncle. It came from an antique slot machine which I have memories of playing as a young child. (It gave merc dimes as winnings).
This is my most valued coin, and my favorite in my type set. It is also my newest, and one of the few I have bought after getting my father's collection.
This is my most valued coin. My late Aunt gave it to me many years ago. Re-discovering this coin and a few others a couple months back has really sparked my interest in coin collecting. On a side note, does anybody think I could get the outer rim removed without damaging the coin?
