    Hi,
My brother was given a coin when he was born but has shown no interest in identifying it. i asked if i could and he said he had no issue... first victory, since then though my progress has been minimal. I have been to antique shops and coin collectors but nobody seems to know.
Any help would be gratefully received.
    Many thanks. Coin3.jpg

The top coin looks like a Southern Netherlands Ducaton

Do you have a picture of the other side of the coin?

Ok it looks to be a 1677 Spanish Netherlands Ducaton

The person on the coin is Carolus II.

The third digit doesn't look like it could be a "6" to me, but what do I know about world coins.

The year 1677 is split with 16 on the left, what was a small hand in the center (now more of a blob) and 77 on the right
