My wife is interested in my collection. I think if I keep on, she'll totally put together her own collection one day. She likes to tell people that I don't know anything about money because I once paid $95.00 for a nickel...
My wife tries. She's very supportive and has developed an interest in both ancient and foreign coins. She also thinks I'm an investor.......sssshhhhh.........
My wife doesn't care about coins at all. She'd be thrilled if I sold them all and handed over the cash.
Lol green.. I sell more coins than I buy for my personal collection so the profit more than makes up for the coins I do want then some extra to keep her happy
I think that my wife appreciates the fact that I have a hobby and they I try to make a collection out of circulating examples. She feels that I am occupying myself with a harmless activity. By the way, for the most part I do enjoy putting together circulating collections. I don't know why, but I do have 4 circulated sets of the State quarters and 1 proof set. With the ATB quarter I have to proof sets and am trying to put together a circulated set of them also. Needless to say I do have multiple sets of other current mintages also. I keep her mildly informed in what I'm doing and she doesn't ask to many questions. She has no interest but from time to time I drag out the sets to try and show that I'm not keeping to much from her.
My boyfriend keeps an eye out for me with his change. And then notifies me if anything in peculiar is spotted.
If my wife ever complained about my coin collection, I'd throw all of her clothes out the door. It's a good thing I'm not married. Chris
My partner once took a photo off me going trough coins. She showed me the photo and said " I just want to show you how much off a nerd you are ". But she´s fine with it
My wife is supportive of my hobby, but takes no interest in it, Of course, she doesn't know what I have invested financially in the collection either!
Lol. I loved reading some of these. The girlfriend doesn't care if I collect. Even if she did I'd have an issue, I love her but we're not married yet and who's she to say what I can spend MY money on. (as long as it's not illegal or detrimental) in our family you're allowed to buy as you wish with your hard earned money, just as long as you handle your responsibilities.
