My 1935 S Quarter - Is it too clean for its age?

    Looking for grading help. All opinions are appreciated. Do you think this coin has been cleaned? Howard

    IMHO it appears to be a AU or better coin. I see no cleaning from the pics, but a better close-up would help.

    This baby was one of my top two out of a roll opened last year. The little crescent is actually in the Mylar of the 2x2. I've seen rolls of Mercs from the early 20's with cleaner surfaces, but blackish edges.

    Nice. I have purchased $4,000 in quarters (to date) from my bank. Not a single pre 1965.

    I do not see any obvious signs of cleaning on that 1935-S WQ.

    Looks nice and original to me. But with the caveat that the mylar 2x2 makes it difficult to really see the surface.
