I was looking at this ungrade dime 1999p at a coin store but do not know what kind of error this is. A kid was running the store and didn't know and I didn't want to wait an hour for the dealer to come back. What would you pay for it?

It kinda looks like a die chip, what's the asking price?

The dealer hasn't put a price on it yet. I would have to go back an check it out. Was looking for any ideas as to what price range it would fall under before I go back.

If you like it, buy it but don't pay more than a buck or two. Nothing really spectacular about it.

Can't really tell but like stated earlier, could be a die chip or maybe a clash.

I don't think it is the result of a clash. It doesn't match up with anything on the obverse. Is it raised or incuse? I've never seen anything like it before.
