Just bought this coin I will upload pics tomorrow, it's 1804 and bears the symbol of the east India company not the VOC ? It's for Sumatra now on another site it's labeled Dutch but from what I make out Britain were in control in 1800-1814 during the napoleonic wars ? I only collect British empire and commonwealth so can someone confirm
Weather it fits the bill or not ? Thanks in advance,

    Mark.

If it isn't VOC then it is the British East India Company. The 1804 coinage was struck by Matthew Bolton of SoHo. They were struck at two different times but all of them were dated 1804. If the 4 Kepling weighs 12.96 grams it is from the first coinage. The second coinage weighed 8.56 grams.
