today so far i have found some surprising coins. 1926 vg wheat cent, and a freaking 1909 vdb g! Its especially wierd since i found them in the same roll with a couple other wheaties and it was in one of those plastic shrink wrapped rolls which i thought were all sorted through for this kind of stuff. On the other note though i have many suspected varieties that i will soon be scanning and maybe posting.

The newest coins from these rolls is 2012. Aside from the silver dimes everything else is your typical 1965-2012 clad coinage.

I usually just take what the teller gives me as I have good finds in both machine and CWR rolls. The other day I bought a box of dimes and there was a 1956D that could be seen in the clear plastic wrapper.

Anyway, I found a total of 18 silver dimes today. There was 11 in one roll, four in a different roll and two in another roll from this bank. I also found a 1964D in a roll that came from a different bank.

    Dates found:
    1954
    1954D
    1954Sx2
    1959D
    1961D
    1962Dx2
    1964
    1964Dx9

While I bought all 19 rolls that the teller had in her drawer, I may go back to this bank tomorrow to buy a few more in case there are other rolls like what I found today.

HAHAHAhahah.....now that's a good way to attempt to get the competion to do something else. Young people....go to school....old people....take a cruise. I guess the poster figures middle aged people are too busy to get "bricks" from banks and go through them.

SO..........ALL YOU NUMASISTS.....FIND ANOTHER HOBBY.......and let me alone to check out the "bricks" FUUUNNY!

And here's another when you find time:

    Attached Files:

  10. 1) Box of halves = 2 NIFCs
    2) Box of halves = 1-69, 1-65, and 4 NIFCs

Last night my wife says, "Oh you have a box of halves. I am going to open some." She gets through 4 rolls and finds the 1965 and 1969.

I look through the rest and find a few NIFCs!

LOL - This is after like 11 boxes with no silver. :)

I bought 15 more rolls of dimes from the same bank that I found those silver dimes at yesterday. Six were in the same type of wrapper. One of them contained a 1962D on the end. Overall these finds aren't half bad.

Went to my SDB today after cashing in $1000 in halves. I'm running out of space because of the 40%ers taking up so much room. Trade them in for 90%er's and I loose on both ends, don't want to do that. I'll have to upgrade or get another box I guess. What do you guys do?

I'd sell it for as close to spot as I could get.

went to buy a box of pennies. teller gave me box worth. all cwr. found 2 wheats. a '58 and '18 (pretty worn). 1 '79 canadian and 2 other pennies with some tone on them, more than the other pennies had. and a '59 penny that was very clean compared to the dark brown '59 i saw. looks like it was dipped. could it just be a well handled coin?

been awhile since I've posted but still been finding goods. Had my two best boxes of halves last week. out of the 2 I pulled 3 Franklins, a 64, 37x40%, and 5 proofs. Have six more boxes coming in this week and hoping for similar results.

    That's fantastic!

I keep my 90% either in flips if they're particularly nice or in the square plastic Coinsafe tubes. I keep my 40% halves in a jar on my desk along with my war nickels and miscellaneous silver coins. I know some people have traded 40% halves for gold coins, and they usually seem to get a decent exchange out of it.

Today did two boxes of halves, found one 40%.
