Hello all i have been coin roll hunting again and out of thousands of coins so far today i have come upon just two that seem to me to be errors.

img070.jpg img071.jpg First up is what i believe to be a "sintered planchet coin" or is it?

struck through.jpg struck through 2.jpg last but not least is what i believe to be a one shaped struck through error?

Can't see anything on the 1st one. But second 1 looks like lamination.

Not sure what you cant see on the nickel but i am referring to the color with the nickel. And i see a lamination? Never thought it could be that.

I found a black 2010 nickel in the uncirculated mint set. The obverse was very black, but the reverse, not so much.
I couldnt believe that NGC wouldnt attribute the error. They deemed it too insignificant of an error. I submitted the coin as soon as I found it, before bank rolls became available. The coin was very black and even had the nicks associated with sintered, and/or improperly annealed errors.
A wise collector once told me to hold on to these errors. He believes that in the future these errors will be highly sought after. Ive amassed a nice collection of them.
I believe PCGS might attribute sintered errors, but who wants to pay $50 for them to state the obvious?

I think the color is normal outside toning. Just left of the missing piller is something on the flat part of the metal. That made me think of lamination. Filled die is a possibility of course.

I think i agree with you about them being authentic error worth some premium and well mines seems to be au or very close to it for there is not much wear so yes i agree.

Even the uncirculated sintered errors look like theyre AU, with nicks and scratches.

Yeah then again if you got it from a uncirculated mint set i guess that could be from bumping against other coins in the bag or whatever they put themin after they are done being made.
