I would disagree. Even if the dime expanded from the cent strike it would probably still be smaller than a cent and if a cent slab was used there is a chance the coin will rattle around in the slab. Not good. A dime slab might be a little snug but the coin will be firmly held in place.
He's not in the market to sell, he is attached to the coin. A personal collection can be an emotional attachment too, I have some pieces that fit this bill the same.
Redwins example is finer than the ANACS one up for auction. For the value of Redwins coin, add 10-15% to the final sale price and that would be a reasonable number.
Once again we all have had a little fun at Redwin's expense, but the old sod shines through as the good sport that he is. No matter the poking or prodding, he keeps his calm reserve and answers in a respectful manner. He loves that coin and is extremely proud of it. Who, of us here, don't have such a coin in their collection too? And before y'all get your knickers bunched up, I know.....mine ain't nowhere near a million bucks.......but it's worth it to him. He's allowed that feeling of value. His has a story, mine don't.

The Truth the 11 cent has been slabbed in a dime holder damaged the rim edge surface I have seem this one in Baltimore Coin Show a 1996 Flip over when it was cracked out for re slabbed the owner is devastated. that was around year 2002-2003. My 11 cent smaller than Penny but larger than dime the size is in between of the two. First the last twelve years my coin is in good shape although I always carry this coin around even in Bar to show off to all my friends Midshipman & Officers of US NAVAL ACADEMY this coin is very Popular in Annapolis, Hotel & Restaurant where the place I ate for Dinner and watching live Band.

What about the way the coin is holdered makes you think that it is causing damage? The material that is holding the coin is way softer than the metal of the coin, so the only thing that can get damaged is the holder, not the coin. I'm sure that ANACS didn't hammer the coin into place.
Try to have a close look of obverse of this double denomination the rim is so tight and squeeze so hard. the problem there if the new owner try to re grade that in a new slab hope that coin rim and other surfaces of the coin is not heavily damaged or not even get an scratch. Good luck to the winning bidder of this 11c.
Did you win that lot? Probably Not! Cent on Dime 1995 of NGC ( $ 700.00 )is also a different one to 1995 Penny On Dime ( 7 Million $ offered-Delcined by Owner!. So that was really BIG GAP!
With all this big money talk, I guess it will be just a matter of time before the Chinese begin to flood the market with these.
Anybody can get a cent on dime. Those are a dime a dozen. Redwin has a penny on dime. Big difference!
