Chinese good luck charm, not a coin

It's actually a Vietnamese (Annam) charm.

Although not a coin, the inscription is Canh Tinh Thong Bao which is identical to that used on coins cast in Annam during the period of about 1792-1801,

The reverse side displays fish and a dragon.

I do not collect Annam charms and am not qualified to judge whether your charm is authentic or a reproduction.

However, you may want to compare yours to this specimen which is being sold by a very highly respected dealer in Asian coins.

Well done manymore! You are truly an expert on Chinese coins!
As I know, some Annam large coins do have some specific designs which may make them look like kind of charms instead of coins. But these big ones were actually used as coins.
I don't know much about this one so I cannot tell if it is authentic. But it is very interesting and I like it.
