    Maybe a grade higher, yes. But mine is definitely a "details" coin and won't grade cleanly. Hope yours does, Brian!

    Picked up a couple GSA's at the CC mint show. Bought some DMPL's also but sold them before I got home.

    The show was very slow. It is tough show, it is in the CC Mint which is now a museum. Admission is $8 because that is museum admission. There are 23 dealers and only 23 tables. It is more about the location and seeing friends than the actual show. I sold a monster toner unexpectedly that helped my show.

    I'm sorry to hear that. It needs to be promoted better and it might help if you could hook it up with a major museum sponsored vacation tour or with national geographic or the Smithsonian.

    Okay - got to ask. Did you mix the obverse and reverses? Or is it a coincidence that all the reverses have the same black spot on the rim on the reverse by the D in united.

    No mixing, that is the little holder part of the GSA case.

    Nevermind - just noticed the placement is a little different and so is the spot. :)

    those are not the same reverses. Look at the lettering and toning.

    One issue is it is put on by a museum, not a coin dealer or promoter. It just makes the show different. They don't see or do the same things a dealer would.

    Yes - but the spot drew my eye on each reverse to start with. Then when I took time to study them I noticed each reverse was slightly different.

    I got this bus token from the 75%-off the 50%-off junk bin. I don't know much about it yet. A short time ago I got this buffalo in change from a drug store. They still exist in circulation!
    Nothing fancy about either of them but thanks for looking anyway! :)

    I really got lucky on this one. I took a not-so-big gamble on this 1957-D NGC MS65 (OH) Franklin Half (my first!) with very blurry pictures; but I couldn't resist the fact that no one was bidding on it and the starting price was around 26.00 and change (shipping included). I ended up winning it; being the only bidder, and figured in the worst case scenario I could flip it for a few bucks profit. Here's the seller's pics:

    Sellers pics, but they are actually pretty good.

    Also, I stopped by a LCS / Jewelery store today with the wife and they were actually nice, I was shocked! I might go back to see them again (I usually feel very uncomfortable there). Have some nice raw Washingtons.
