Going through some old nickles I noticed this one it looks like it is a 1936 with the 6 looking like it is over a 5. What do you think.
Sure looks like that dont it. However, I think that the bottom leg of the 5 would show close to the 3. Where the loop ends would stick out?
I thought that also but after looking at a 1935 I believe it could fit in the 6 as to where it would not be noticed.
I'm thinking that it might be damaged---I know that isn't what you wanted to hear....and it does look like a 6/5 but I just don't think it is....something doesn't seem right. Speedy
Looking at it closely I dont really notice any damage BUT I also notice the loop below the top line would be closer if it was a 6 over a five because the 5 is much closer than the 6. Oh well still pretty neat. Thanks
