I found this coin today looking through an old bank roll. The coin is in great shape.

The bad news is that the doubling is Machine Doubling or sometimes referred to as Strike Doubling! Note how flat the portion of the lettering that appears to be doubled and how thin the Primary lettering is. This is due to the second strike peeling off a portion of the first strike which creates the effect of doubling! The good news is, that even 1969-S Lincoln Memorial Cents in BU condition with only Machine Doubling still bring a premium on eBay!

If you list the coin on eBay, do not list it as a Doubled Die because it is not and can cause you trouble. Many Sellers list these coins as a Double (note without the "d") Die which is technically incorrect but eBay doesn't seem to mind. Research some of the closed (ended) auctions on eBay and find some of these that sold for a nice premium, then use some of the same jargen (information) in your listing. Do not copy the information verbatem or use the Seller's pics as this practice is frowned upon and can cause you to be kicked off of eBay.
