Hello, I have a misprinted dollar bill that is my mothers. She worked for a mail order company and came across a dollar bill that has not been in circulation. I am not sure what the date is because the side of the dollar that is suppose to have the date is missing 3/4 of the print it only has the 2 seals the number 7 and the serial number. the rest of it is blank. the backside is correct with no discrepencies. Would anyone have a clue if this is worth anything? I have pictures but I dont know how to attach them.

Sounds like it went through the second printing (the one that prints the front of the note, except for seals and serial numbers) partly obstructed, so that it missed most of it.

Yes, it is valuable it that's what it is.

I have attached actual photos of the dollar, Would anyone have an idea of the amount that this would be worth?

It looks like it went through the second printing on a press that had run out of ink.

I'd say it's worth $100 at least. Perhaps more.

That is a HOT error---the value could be anywhere IMHO...the best way to find the value is to put it on Ebay and sell it.

Ebay is a good idea, but if you don't want to get rid of it, set a ridiculously high reserve price and see where the bidding goes. You will have to pay $10-$20 in insertion and resrve fees though.

There a very similar $10 note on ebay that is up to almost $600 right now.

That is one nice looking error.

You could put it up on www.coinbay.biz & see what it goes for.You don't need a credit card to be registered with Coinbay, whereas, with Ebay you do.

But the problem with coinbay is that there isn't any where near the number of people so you aren't going to get the bids and the value that this bill should....

Speedy,Coinbay is actually a rival to Ebay, which I'm sure will give Ebay a run for its money. As the old saying goes,"Never say never".You may be pleasantly surprised.

Don't kid yourself....this place will never give Ebay a run for money---there are alot of good places like ebay...I know the guy that owns http://www.coinsncurrency.com/.....and while I sell on it at times I know it doesn't have the market Ebay does....

Just for you I went to CoinBay and look around---most of the coins were price WAY high and alot of them were marked DO NOT BID---COIN IS NOT FOR SALE ANYMORE.....a rival to ebay....I doubt it.
