Since they're worth face, if you want to shine them up, try ketchup. Rinse in warm water, then dry with a paper towel.
Well since they're only worth face anyway, and it really isn't going to hurt them anymore than they are now, ketchup with a warm water rinse is a good idea. I wouldn't do this to red Lincolns, but these ones it's not going to matter.
Hey BUnc... you won't get an argument from me. I keep thinking of all the purist that would be screaming "don't clean your coins". Personally, I couldn't care less. In fact, if someone told me not to clean a coin, I would clean it just for spite.

And I had the welts to prove it! Actually, it's the tone of some members when telling someone not to clean a coin. They bark it out like a drill instructor. No need to do that, just let the person know (in this case the OP) that cleaning of coins is generally not accepted by the numismatic community.
