Should this be sent in for a regrade?

I have this 1859 IHC that I'm debating sending in for a regrade.

Its graded MS63. I have looked at a number of 63's at shows and auctions and am convinced that this is undergraded. What are your opinions on this?

The scratches seen are on the old PCGS holder. The coin is not sitting in the holder properly, its tilting a little bit, so it was harder to photograph.

I can't get a feel for the luster, but certainly looks nice enough for a re-grade. Just my opinion.

I agree, I think it looks clean enough for a higher grade but it would depend on the luster. The payoff for an upgrade is certainly high enough to warrant sending it in one time. I would go for it.

This x10 it will nearly double in value at a 64, right?

Greysheet ask goes from $550 to $1175. Its a big jump in price. 65s are in the $3000+ range. Its also a one year type set coin, which is always in high demand

It might be the obverse rim that held it down in grade, that's a pretty nasty ding above the T. And there is slight bit of finning at 12 o'clock.

Could it have a chance at an upgrade ? Maybe, only one way to find out.

Do you have enough room in the coin to absorb the fees if it DOESN'T upgrade?
