coins on cover of 2010 standard catalog

    What is the coin with the 1/2 on the cover of the 2010 standard world catalog (1901-2000)?

    Libya, 1/2 dinar. Why it is on the cover of that volume ... I don't know. As far as I know, it was first issued in 2004.
