went to my credit union today to deposit a box of nickels and I asked if they had any rolls of halves. She said "yeah, how many do you want" and I told her all of them and she mentioned they were from the Mint. I thought "arent they all..??" I was thinking the Fed, not mint. So i didnt think anything of it until she brought 5 rolls out.

    Uncirc. rolls of halves. 2001, 2006X2, 2009X2

I've gotten those before. Don't open them, they do go for a premium.

Nice finds. I had a teller tell me the same thing and I got excited. The rolls she plopped down were brinks

Not a CRH find, but this seems like a good resting place for this story. I work for a small (250M$ assets) bank, at one of several branches. The lead teller at a different branch, who knows I collect coins, with a question about a quarter she rec'd. She told me it said "head quarters" on it, and I asked if it was a state quarter, she said yes, Arkansas. I asked if it was raised, and it was. I hung up and google'd it, only to find out it was the Clinton-Lewinski parody coin. She took this with mild disgust and a lot of laughs. I guess it just goes to show you that letting people know about your passion can lead to a whole new source of coins!!

Kinda had to fight to find a branch to give me a box of dimes today. Finally got one at almost the end of the business day. It was worth it, had a '36S and a '42 merc!

While dumping a few rolls of halves today I picked up 4 ikes. One is a bicentennial clad proof and the other is a 1973d nifc. The first 73 I have found.

That actually looks like a '55 D or S, can't tell. Look for the over mint mark variety. :)

In case you can't tell, I bought both of the Cherry Pickers Guides last night, haha.

  20. I found it late last night so I'll have to take a closer look with the microscope. Thanks! :D
