Florence,Oregon, 15th Annual Coin Show is this weekend (18-19 Aug 2012). I went lookingfor World Silver bullion coins and a few odd things like some Irish coins. You get a FREEcoin (Florence, Oregon, 15th Annual Coin Show coin) as you walk in the door. FREE parking and FREE entry (how is that in today's greedy World):hail:. It's a nice small show on the coast. My third time attending infour years so I now have three coins. I think they had six rows of Vendors (Est. 50 Vendors in 60-80 total tables). Vendors were very nice to talk with. Tons of coins, stamps, and bullion. I talked to coin dealers from Redmond, Beaverton, Coos Bay, Gresham, Reedsport, Wilsonville, Corvallis, etc.
I go to a fair number of large shows SFL, but the smaller ones are always fun too. There's a monthly show about 20 miles from me in Burlington that I go to here and there and always find some interesting things. So what did you wind up getting in Florence? Like to see some pics if possible. Bruce
I found some coins that are new to me! I found many vendors with tubs of common World coins, but I did not have the time to search. Three Mexican Silver Libertad 1oz Silver Coins - 2000 South Africa Silver 1 Rand(.3858 ASW) - 1973 Turkey 10,000,000 Lira(.9356 ASW) - 2002 Irish 1P and 2P common coins 5/$1.00 Canadian Nickels (I just like these) 5/$1.00
Sounds like picked up a few nice coins. I like Irish coins myself and try to get a few when I can. Bruce
