Standing Liberty Quarters

    This was a neat coin. There were still a few left in circulation when I was a boy, even though they stopped making them in 1930.

    I love the way the eagle looks on the reverse. Beautiful.

    the first one was bare breasted

    i was getting these as silver junk coins intill the guy ran out now i have to get washingtons

    I want one! Still haven't been able to find one I like that doesn't break the bank. I'll keep searching though.

    the only ones my store had where in the silver bin i see them all over ebay the date less ones are around melt value with out a date its a little hard to tell the date but there were 3 different kinds so it narrows it down some

    I was thinking the same thing. the reverse of the slq is my favorite design of any coin.

    Yep, I would miss it too. Toned SLQ's are hard to come by, especially looking like that. :thumb:

    In 1916 they came out with three beautiful coins: Mercury dime, standing liberty quarter, and walking liberty half.

    I just love the look of these coins. I think the eagle on the back is stunning, but I still haven't had the opportunity to buy a really nice example. And the tone on that one above is awesome!!

    Cline is convinced that a few 1931 examples do exist. The 1931 Master Die was made as were some of the working dies. Ya never know:)

    Here is one of my SLQ's. The '28 D is typically one of the worst struck issues. Only 3 FH's exist in MS 67 and somewhere around 70 in MS 65 and MS 66. This one is somewhat close but would never make it.
