I have had this Roman coin from my Father's estate (He was very interested in the Roman Empire). It was in a small manila envelope that had the following writing on it (also see attached pictures):
    Hadrian A- 1002A855224
    A little Toning? on reverse
    Very Fine
Also the coin is in a plastic container with a paper describing the coin (please see photos for description)
I also uploaded photos of the coin (both sides)

I don't know where he purchased this coin. I was wondering if the number on the envelope has any significance? Also I would I verify that it is authentic?

    Thanks for any help!

I'd guess $75-90, maybe a little more. It looks authentic to me too, but you could send it in to be graded. I'd guess the A -100 number was for cataloging purposes.

The number on the flip is a dealer's inventory number. The ticket correctly identifies the piece, which is certainly genuine. To have it graded would be a waste of your money.

A common coin, I would say it would go for $60 or so. Its a nice coin & it's real.

Nice Hadrian, but I would echo Ardatirion's sentiment to not get it slabbed. First, many or most ancient collectors hate slabs and having it slabbed decreases its value to us, and second VF Hadrian denari are not exactly rare.

Btw, I would not even grade that one a VF, its more like a F or F+. Keep it as a momento to your father. Its a genuine piece, and will always be worth more to you than anyone else. For value I agree with petronius its about a $40 coin retail.
