I got this quite a while ago in a junk world lot of coins at a local show. I found it quite intresting & very eye appealing.I flipped it up & put it away in my personal collection & there it sat for the past few years.
While cleaning out & getting things ready for my shops display cases I came across it again & it really captured my attention this time. It took a bit of research to identify it & with some help from another dealer we got it done .

The piece is from the Islamic Egyptian dynasties ,al-Mustansir. It is a Fatimid glass jeton , (3.010g), 23.5mm ,1036-1094 A.D.

Extra fine condition with two tone sea green & dark brown colored glass.

I've decided to part with it & I dont really have the customer base for something of this type so I will be sending off to auction soon.

Just wanted to share a picture of this piece before it goes to its new home.

That is really interesting! A nice cross between antiquities and numismatics (sort of).

Very nice, and quite tricky to photograph. Where will you be auctioning it?

Pretty interesting. Is it considered a numismatic item or an antique?

I would & most others would consider it numismatic rather than an antiquity.
