Hotel Coin Washing does a "good " job on coins

    You couldn't believe it if you didn't read it....Borax they are using on "Antique Silver Coins"

    That article made me cry a little "Rare silver dollar" tear!!! It's so sad to hear about perfectly good coins being ruined by an intense washing!

    I've been to that Hotel. They have a wonderful Fish restaurant downstairs.

    Same here. But this story pops up every year or two.

    Sure they just do clad now because that is all that is in circulation. But they have been doing it since 1934 which means that they were doing it to all the silver coins, Mercury dimes, standing quarters, walking halves, Morgan and peace dollars etc for over 30 years.
