Take a look and judge for yourself. Put yourself in the graders position. Granted we here have vastly more time to examine and assign a grade but the folks who put them in plastic have the coin in hand, so... What would you give this one? Me, I think it's in the MS-61/62 range. Take Care B
I'll have to agree with you Bone, MS62 tops. Looks like too many hits on her jaw and also, what is the "blob" on the second 8? NGC might have gone 63 with this one?
I'm curious about the blob around the 8 as well, but I would probably say it's an MS-62 coin. However, I see many coins like this in NGC 63 holders, so that is a possibility.
I would also say MS-62 - It seems to have a few too many marks to be MS-63. The first thing I noted was the blob by the 8. Do you have further information on it?
I'll post the grade NGC gave it a little later on, but the blob appears to be seperate from the coin, kinda like lint??? B
I would give it a 63...but the blob by the 8 is pretty distracting IMO. So I guess I'll give it a 62.
Both Liberty's hair and the Eagle's breast are well struck, and the cheek looks pretty clean. Personally, I would give the coin an MS63. NGC might have given the coin a 64, but I think there is just too much chatter in the obverse fields. Nice coin!
