1 bid so far, no doubt from the seller's alternate account.

I see a lot of common wheat
cents all over the map for $100-$1000 from (ZERO FEEDBACK) sellers

Makes one Wonder what they are actually selling?
I figured money laundering or weed sales.

I think they're just kids trying to make a quick buck at least to people that know nothing about coins .

If so, there's an entire additional level of stupid here -- they should be using old sneakers, since that category (last I checked) has ZERO final value fees.

And yes, I'd thought about going into the double-eagle-loafer business.

I would immediately put that back in a roll without even looking at the reverse. What idiots! There are some nice pennies on Ebay though. Just have to laugh through a bunch to get to them. Patience needed.

That's what I thought when I came across a dozen Sacagawea coin that sold for 1k to 2k with the worst photos ever. Somebody found a good way to launder their money.

They are laundering money though eBay n would be surprised if they didn't have someone eBay in on it. Though it could be a couple of people trying to drive coin prices up. Lol

I also look at it this way..
If someone actually purchased it thinking it was an real mint error then they will be in for a huge surprise when they try to have it attributed as one or when they take it to a coin shop for verification. It would be a costly mistake for that person but one huge lesson they hopefully will learn! :bucktooth:

If you leave copper plating zinc Cents out long enough to recieve Environment Exposure such as rain and/or brackish river water the copper plating will bubble up. As I stated before I have found thousands just like it over the years metal detecting.

To paraphrase the old quote : “We the willing, led by the unknowing, are selling the impossible to the grateful. We have sold so much, with so little, for so long, we are now qualified to sell anything, worth nothing.”
