I recieved a call yesterday from my favorite teller. She told me she has a $100 star note that's older then the both of us combined. She asked if I wanted to hear the exact series over the phone of if I would prefer for it to be surprise when I come in. I said let's just make is a suprise. Now here I am, still happpy about my pickup for face, still smiling: 1950D!
WOW! That's a nice Frankie there. I was going to say Bill, but I am glad he ain't on no money (luckily).
Congrats Travis, you have managed to find a good note and own a nice "flipable" piece if you decide to sell it in the future.
That's lower than the lowest number listed in the 7th edition Small sizes US Paper Money by Schwartz/Lindquist book. Very Nice, Worth at least double face.
That's 2/2! Remember my 1950B $20 F-*? That had been the lowest reported as well! From the same awesome teller! I did give that lady a $15 Starbucks gift card a while ago, but I'm beginning to think she's due for something again. And worth double face?? I figured maybe like $120-$150. But hey, $200 is cool too.:hail: But value is of little importance at the moment, as what comes into my collection stays for a long, long time. (Unless I were to get something worth big bucks haha) Thanks for the info, Darryl.:thumb:
That's the thing though, she's always getting me good stuff. Lately, I haven't really had the time to come on here and post most of it. Right now she's holding an AU 1985 $100 J-* for me. She also has lots of $20 stars for me and $50's and all. I'm so thankful for her. She also recently got me a 1934A $10 B-B. She's like my drug dealer; I'm addicted and just can't ever get enough.
