Well, I usually have just about nothing to do with paper money (not any that's collectible at least), but I was at the bank and the one tell er told me that she had a $100 Series of 1934, so I told her that I would take it. The thing is, I have no idea on how to tell what a note is worth, so here I am. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks
Based on the graffiti and overall condition, I do not think it has any collectible value. I like it though! I never see $100 bills, new or old!
It's an older lime seal and I like those. However, in its present condition, it's a spender all day long. Now the question you have to ask yourself is...do I like it enough that I can afford to keep it?
I don't like it enough to hold on to, because I'm not in to paper money. When I see it, I see a few MS 66 Jeffersons or a nice MS Morgan. I just picked it up to try to flip. You don't think I could get anymore than $100 out of it? Maybe I can sell it to my uncle or cousin for $100.
It's worth a little more than face, the problem is someone has to tie up the entire face value in order to get that little bitty premium. A $5 that is worth $15 is a **** of alot easier to sell than a $100 that is worth $110...
Suggest selling on the BST, there are some people that just like old large denomination money and lots of it. You could do yourself and them a favour.
